Solar Water Heater Plans

Do you know that the best method that can be used to generate electricity and heat in our houses is the solar energy? Indeed, one way to obtain this source of energy is solar panel roofing.

What is the nice advantage here?

Solar roof panels, also known as photovoltaic systems, are quite similar to the photovoltaic panels, but they offer here one additional advantage.

Advancing the Green

You don’t have to be a GREEN junkie to want Solar Energy for your home. More and more people are finding that a Solar Energy System can be a smart investment and a way to save thousands of dollars in the long run, not to mention it’s a reliable source of energy for your home. Solar Energy is always there even when there’s an outage at the power company.

Residents of Denton, Texas are fortunate because in addition to the Federal Tax Credit program offering a 30% tax credit, the two energy companies that cover the area (Denton Municipal Electric and Oncor) both provide huge financial incentives / rebates for their customers that choose to invest in Solar panels or some other form of alternative energy to provide cheap energy for their home.

The Disadvantages Of Solar Powered Energy

A wide variety of messages in the media are encouraging us to reduce our carbon footprints. Solar power is one of the leading alternatives to fossil fuels because it is a renewable resource to which we have unlimited access. Unlike fossil fuels, energy from the sun is not concentrated in certain parts of the world or controlled by select countries, and it is a clean energy source. Even so, solar power systems do have a disadvantages.

Cost

The primary disadvantage of solar energy systems, according to Solar Power at Home, is the initial cost. Although advances in technology and increases in consumer demand are reducing the costs of using solar power, these costs remain substantial. Solar panels and mounting systems can cost thousands of dollars, especially if you aim to convert your entire home to rely on solar energy. Even for utility companies, fossil fuels are still far less expensive than solar power, although this gap is closing.
